Sugar's Report

Sugar gets the report today.
Both heart and kidney get problems.
The Heart "wall" is thinker than normal. But the rest are normal. Dr said we could still treat him normal and he didn't define he gets heart diseases. No "hole", no "leakage", no crack in the heart.
But 1 of kidneys get 2 cysts, Dr said it was PKD.
The another kidney is still defined as "normal" but not sure about the cysts will appear in another one sooner or later. No treatments, no medcine can cure. There will only more and more cysts in Sugar's Kidneys when he gets older.
Meanwhile, the details blood test has been taken. All figures including kidney & liver's function is "normal". It implies the cysts don't affect the kidney's function yet. But when Sugar get older, it implies his kidney will decay more faster and more serious than the normal cats.
Dr doesn't tell me how old Sugar can be. He said some cats might be over 10+ years old even he only got 1 kidney. But I checked the articles about PKD. It is around 7-10 years old. Now Sugar is 3 1/2 years old, it means only around half of his life................
The feeling is so painful. It seems I get a son but I can't do anything except watching him from a healthy stage to the sickness.

And finally, Dr arranged the dental treatment to him. But he is still in the clienic now and he needs to be overnite. Dr strongly recommanded him to get a drops overnite because of his abnormal kidney. So tonite, it is the first time Sugar doesn't sleep with us.

Waiting for tomorrow morning.. we bring Sugar back home.
